Age targeted Educational Programs
Infants have a flexible schedule, which reflects each child’s individual needs. Teachers plan a variety of daily activities to encourage brain development focusing on cognitive and motor skills. We feel that developing a nurturing relationship with each child will allow them to feel loved and a sense of security. Infants will sleep and eat according to their own individual needs. We provide safe, open spaces with a variety of age-appropriate materials and toys to encourage infants to explore new challenges and an opportunity to build confidence when exploring their classroom environment while having fun.
1 yr Old Toddlers are learning to talk, walk, and engage with people in their environment. At this time teachers will start helping toddlers develop social skills and confidence. Their daily activities encourage them to learn through play as they explore the different areas in their classroom. Teachers will encourage children to learn words, sing songs, participate in creative art and use large and small motor skills.
2yr Old Toddlers are learning to communicate their thoughts and learning some independence. They are also learning that sharing is caring and that taking turns with your friends it being kind. Teachers plan daily activities which will enhance cognitive and motor skills. These activities will include dramatic play, creative art, reading, math, music and movement. Teachers do incorporate toilet training into your child’s daily routine if your child is ready.
Preschool Age Children will enjoy a structured schedule that will allow flexibility. A schedule helps the day flow more smoothly and allows the children to anticipate upcoming events. They will have opportunities to play and explore their surroundings. They will be given many learning experiences in a variety of developmental areas that are age appropriate. Daily activities will include math, science, large and small muscle movement, creative art, music, and literacy. Teachers also encourage children to express their feeling and problem solve.
School Agers are encouraged to develop their own identity, self-confidence and taught how to problem solve, and set and accomplish goals to help with lifelong skills. They are in an environment in which they are able to socialize with friends and receive academic support. Teachers will offer guidance for those children who may need it during homework time.
