Our teaching philosophy is to continuously develop new and innovative programming and offer every child the most current and relevant curriculum to date. Yes, YMLA offers before and after care. YMLA only provides transportation for field trips. Please check with management and your child’s school to determine whether or not your child’s school provides bussing.
Our entrance is locked and have video surveillance in each classroom.
Children are only released to those individuals listed on records in the enrollment package and confirmed by an identification check.
PERIMETERS/ PLAYGROUND SAFETY: All perimeter and playground gates are locked and monitored by employees to ensure that children enjoy outdoor play safely. We also follow CDC and Milwaukee Health Department closing and restrictions.
In the event of severe weather and/or natural/man-made disasters, decisions to close the center will be made by following state and local restrictions in your area. Standard tuition fees apply.
We will be closed the following days during the year:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Day (3rd Monday in January)
- Good Friday
- One week in July for center maintenance
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Memorial Day
- Thanksgiving Day (and the following Friday)
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Families will be alerted to early center closures by notices posted on the front door, WISN (Channel 12) and Fox 6 News.
If MPS is closed due to weather, we are also closed.

Yes. We provide healthy home-cooked meals. Children will recieve breakfast, lunch, and two snacks per day. Milk is included.
